After taking several years off from street fashion, since the days of Triumvir, VanNess Wu is back with his latest label that he’s been slowly building these past years — xVESSEL.
Known for its artistic approach towards footwear — as seen on the runway for Yohji Yamamoto’s 2020 RTW collection — this latest collaboration with UNITED ARROWS & SONS sees the deconstructed GOP Low silhouette done with all-black uppers along with a black outsole and gum bottom. Set for UNITED ARROWS Taipei‘s sixth anniversary capsule, the sneaker features a rubber outsole where the foxing has been cut and mismatched and joined as one. The canvas uppers have also been mashed with distressed details and stitched together on opposite sides to complete the layered look. As part of the capsule, a distressed hoodie will be released alongside the GOP Low.
Those interested will have to pick a pair up from the UNITED ARROWS & SONS Taipei store on November 16.
